Ken showed up early two days early and laid panels around the loop, almost completing it with nearly 60 panels. This is the final loop of phase 1. The workday focused on aligning and setting a bridge and laying the final track panels.
- Bob built new panels which were quickly consumed
- Paul cut another pallet full of ties
- Ken, Stephen, Tim, John T, Chris, Luke, John O, and Alexander set the Manor Bridge which took most of the morning.
- John O and Alexander filled in ties on the grade crossing.
- Ken and John T laid the final panels to complete the loop.
- Stephen moved dirt to complete the earth works around the Manor Bridge.
- Linda and Sofia added guard rails on the steel bridge spans.
- Lori prepared a baked ziti lunch for everyone while also keeping an eye on three grandkids.
At the end of the day, the final fish plate was added with Stephen inviting a few people to tighten the final bolts.
